woyww - ATC's on mass

I look forwards to Wednesday since woyww.  I am always surprised how quickly Wednesday arrives and then I can't wait to have a peek at so many creative desks, sharing ideas and having a giggle.  So a big thank you to Julia who started it all.   Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said hello last week.  I'm still quite chuffed at how well the alcohol inks covered my new shelf, the colours I used were Raisin and Butterscotch on the normal applicator and probably used a teaspoon of colour all up.  Not bad.

Currently working on ATC's for the darkroom door swap using the filmstrip photos of Paris and Prague.  Rachel is currently in the UK at the stitches trade show.  She is brilliant and her blog is full of amazing creations, I hope UK crafters got to meet her.  I still have Amy's package (I promise to post this week) sitting on my desk from last week.  Here is a closer view of the atc. The shimmery background is from all the glimmermist I sprayed over the door stamp.  Colours are a bit brighter in natural light.  Still thinking about what else I should add.  Any suggestions??

    the lamp post atc?

    looks excellent as is -

maybe a dark edge on your outside and inside edges? give the shutters a shadow so you get depth and get drawn into and through the door? you might find the 'step' into the door/window might mislead the eye down instead of in? - you could soften the step with flowers/a cat on the 'window ledge' so the eye is not confused as to if it is a door or a window, and your eyes will then just look out without pause....

  2. Great Stamp! The ATC looks fine to me! Ah I love Paris! And yes the Hotel I stayed in was pretty Fancy, spent a bit of time snooping around it & sitting in random chairs that were dotted about the place! Cant wait to g back there!

  3. Hi Sandra, That ATC is gorgeous! Hope you have made a few extras? I've been on an ATC roll too. I have lots to trade, if anyone's interested. Did you really only use a teaspoon of alcohol ink? That's amazing!

  4. I adore anaything "Paris" and this fits the bill - makes me all nostalgic. Think Doone has said it all for what to do. Love to see it completed. #27

  7. Your ATC looks great! The only thing I can think to add would be words of some sort. Maybe a quote from a French artist?

  24. These ATCs are fabulous. I love the idea of the door, I am thinking of using that myself somehow and cobine it with my photos. It should also work with windows, shouldn't it? Great colors as well, I love all the glimmer mist.

    Happy belated WOYWW

  27. If you did want to add something, I would suggest a small line of silver brads somewhere - maybe just 3 in a line. It looks great as it is but I know I often feel like just a little something is needed to finish something off.

Sorry I'm so late in popping by, xx
