woyww - progress of sorts

Still working at night and continuing to play around with the butterfly canvas.  All the butterflies were stamped with black ink and embossed on glimmermist papers.  Cutting them out was a pain.
A closer shot to show the gesso/stencil background.  As per usual the glimmermist doesn't really show in the photo.  Slow progress .... but, happy with the results so far.  Although I think too many butterflies in this shot and will continue to play around with odd numbers next.  What do others think?  I am off to visit Julia  and get a dose inspiration.

  3. Those Dark Room Door stamps are my best! Love what you are doing with them and yes they are a pest to cut out, but so worth it when they are done. Happy WOYWW!

  4. Hi Sandra, Have you got any tiny, weeny scissors for that cutting? I have spare ones. Will send you a pair if you don't have any. Is that the canvas for your friend? Looking good.

  10. Just beautiful!
It would be an idea, if you have a spare butterfly, to send one to the Holocaust Project. they are collecting 1.5 million butterflies to be a collective art project to represent that number of children who perished in the Holocaust. Lots about it on the web and it closes 2012.
Take a look back in Neet's blog when our group Vicky Stampers participated recently.

  13. Oh wow Sandra, I love the background!
I know they say you should work with odd numbers of thing but I’m not sure it counts when you have things in a line as you have. It looks fine to me.
    Happy Crafting!

  20. Sandra, this is GORGEOUS. I can see the shimmers. I know how hard it is to photograph glimmer. But these butterflies are amazing.

    I'm excited about #451 (grin).

  22. Just wanted to pop by to visit your blog this week and say hello and see what you are up to! Didn't have the time to post(except about newest Doswell addition) or craft the past two weeks due to being in Virginia visiting with the son's family to see the newest granddaughter born. Definitely a fun time none the less. Hope you have a great week. Vickie aka okienurse
