woyww - the composition of rubbish

The recycled canvas is coming along slowly ... who would of thought the composition of rubbish would take so much contemplation and rearrangement.  A bit like compost!   Family comments varied from "but it's still rubbish" to "I like that you try".  Thank goodness I am made of tough stuff and comments just flow off me.  I also got carried away making text paper rolls and die cutting flowers.

My other obsession this week was reading another Jo Nesbo book "The Leopard".  I cannot get enough of  Norwegian crime authors.  Any recommendations woyww's?

  3. Well, in my book anything with flowers and butterflies on it is a masterpiece! Nothing wrong with contemplation either, take your time and do it your way, that's my advice. I think it's very pretty, interested to see what you do with all those paper rolls......Happy WOYWW, Anne x #32

  5. Looking at your canvas 'rubbish' got me to thinking about clearing out our garage to see what I could recycle for my wall............but then sometimes the thoughts are there but not the inclination lol. Yours is very pretty I must say, looking fwd to seeing the end result.

  18. Well, I like it, no matter what your family has to say about it. I can see that the changes you've made from last week too - love the butterfly now. I read a lot of crime fiction but haven't ventured into Norwegian fiction yet - that will be another author to put on my reading list then :) Thanks for sharing. Have a great day and fabulous week. 19. I love who the recycled bits are coming along. I would hardly call it rubbish though! My problem when putting bits and bobs together like that is I get it down in the perfect place but then you have to pick it all up to glue it down and it never looks as good the second time around. Silly, I know.

  21. Your canvas is stunning!! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!! I can't wait to see the finished product, although it looks finished to me now!

The only crime author I usually read is John Grisham...it's a little more legal drama though.

    Happy Wednesday!

  22. Sandra it's beautiful and very, very creative. You certainly can't please all the people all the time so don't even try, be true to yourself. Never read any but how about Henning Mankell's Wallender series? Set in Sweden I believe and made into a tv show with Kenneth Brannagh.

  26. I think it looks great. When I use multiple elements, I like to make them all cohesive by going over everything with a distress ink to unify all the varied elements.

  31. Hi sandra... late visit due to a manic week with the grandees visit but thanks so much for your comment.
I love the progress of your canvas and the fact that it's created from recycled bits and bobs. Just think where they would be if not in your work of art!
