woyww - journal pages

The desk is reasonably tidy with my open journal page and a cup of tea at the ready for when I sit and do the woyww post.
Close up of the quick w/c of the "rocky outcrop" which is just an exercise in using a flat 1" brush rather then the rounded brushes.   The travel journal is nearly complete and I will be moving on to another book as I get ready for an online sketch class.
Finally a page from a "word" journal I started years ago usually based on a verse or quote that has significance to me.  I can do these quickly without any worry about where to put bits and pieces.

Thanks for visiting.....

  11. The rocks look fab - I have NO talent in that area so am always impressed when I see proper "art" :) And love the journal page too - big silhouette fan here (stencils too) so I am always going to love pages like this. Simple and evocative - perfect.

    An early Happy WOYWW!

  12. You've really caught the light on the rocks but look at the sky! There are clouds...that's so hard getting that to look right but you've done it. Brilliant!

  15. Your work is lovely, Sandra. I like the rocky outcrop - and the one with the verse is just great - what an image with such a clear outline - a great example of how we should be as Christians. Did you do the picture on the wall of the water carriers?
Thanks for already visiting - yes it is a treat to get a homemade card from hubby. It's special 'cos over the years, following Rheumatoid arthritis, his hands are not straight any more - so he can't do small finicky things now.
    Have a great week.

  33. As always, I'm impressed with your art and drawings. And I also like the page with the masked image. I did that same technique once, but mine didn't look nearly as good as yours. Thanks so much for visiting me earlier. Happy belated WOYWW from #3.

  34. Some beautiful work on show this week, especially that practice piece of the rocky outcrop. I have never had the courage to work with large brushes since my disastrous art classes at school which put me off totally. Thank you for your visit this week. xx Maggie #97 PS If I did not sort my stamps, I would never do anything but hunt the stamp or buy a duplicate.
