woyww -layout

My desk this week has a scrapbook layout.  Unusual for me as I haven't played around with layouts for at least 10 months. But a friend died and I started looking at old photos and remembering all the things we did together.  So while I was in the mood I thought I better put it in a layout.  Funny seeing a photo of DH and me before children......looking relaxed, having fun and we both have lots of hair!!

Please note the cup of Yorkshire tea on the right.  Lisa Craft Garden assures me it is the one and the same.
Have a creative woyww.

  2. Yesterday I decided to put my current photos into a book and date them. It's much nicer to show friends and relations your pics from a book rather than squinting at a mobile phone screen or tablet.
What a lovely memory you will have when you finished

  5. Thank God for photos. Am so sorry for your loss, it hurts. The tea makes me smile...it's a brew that I wouldn't leave the bag in, ends up too strong for me!

  6. So sorry to hear that you have lost your friend. I lost a dear friend two years ago and often look at photos of times we spent together. Look forward to seeing your layout finished. That tea does look very strong! Barbxx #24

  9. This is unusual for you but it's good to do it now. As a Yorkshire girl I would like to say I love the tea but to be honest it's too strong for me, I am a real weakling I think Lol! Thanks for the visit to mine, have a good woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 27

  11. Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost a friend...it knocks you for six, doesn't it? It's the gaps in your life afterwards that hurt. Sending a big hug. Looking at photos and thinking about the LO is a good thing to do.

  13. Hope you weren't too upset whilst putting those photos together. I know I have been upset doing a similar thing with emails and letters from Eliza.
Perhaps the pages will be a real comfort Sandra in days and weeks to come

  14. So sorry to hear about your friend, Sandra, and what a wonderful way to celebrate her life with a nice layout, and the happpy memories generated by looking at the old photos. I love the frames you have chosen - really pretty. Thank you for your visit and your nice comment and especially your prayers. I am definitely much better this week with the reduced dose and have every anticipation that the same will apply after my final treatment. The end is sooo near in sight now! I can't wait.

    Happy WOYWW,

  15. Sending you a hug and my sympathies. It is a good way to remember good times, isn't it, looking at pictures and making a layout? When my first husband died, I gathered his pictures from different albums to make one special album about him for my daughter. It is nice not to have all his best pictures in one album.
Happy WOYWW and thanks so much for already dropping by!

  18. See, I got so excited about scrapbooking I forgot to convey my sympathies for losing your friend. I believe keeping your memories alive keeps those who have passed on alive as well, in a way.
