woyww - leaves

A busy desk which clearly shows the basil leaf I was painting.  An exercise in tone and hue or in this case a basil leaf on steroids.
more gum leaves as once I am on a theme I tend to stay their for awhile.  Hopefully your woyww desk has lots of interesting projects to inspire me.   I promise to visit over the week.
Have a lovely woyww visit.

  1. Oh your gum leaves are amazing, it's that time of year for leaf colour here in the UK, they are always a great source of inspiration. Jill #20

  2. Had to check you out when I saw you were painting gum leaves. My daughter lives in Melbourne. Love the idea of basil on steroids - now that would make some sandwich. Super colour gradations on your leaves. Jackie 14 x

  3. Your basil leaf on steroids made me laugh out loud! It would make one hell of a pesto, that's for sure!! Your gum leaves are so leafy, they should blow off the page and dance in the breeze......

  4. I really love the leaves you've been painting...and am chuckling at Jan's comment :-) The only leaves I've seen over the weekend were the soggy wet ones I swept up and filled a bin bag with.....nowhere near as lovely as yours. :-)
    Have a great week.
