woyww - paint swatches

Not a lot of painting this week except for the odd paint swatches.  The exercise was useful as I found out exactly how many watercolours I own.   Also discovered that the latest "must have" w/c is similar to something I already own.  Hopefully I will look at the swatches before purchasing next time.  The other scary thing is the clutter on my desk.

Close up of those swatches .... quite pretty.
I also printed out two copies of the w/c flowers. I might use them for  a special swap coming up in May??

Have a lovely woyww :)

  8. I have something similar for all my pens and acrylics so I don't duplicate when I'm out shopping. They do look lovely! I am going to get my nails painted today and my nail technician has all her colours on big rings - they look really yummy as well! Everyone seems to be so organised about the swap - I really am gonna have to get my thinking cap on! Happy Wednesday, Cindy #29

  9. You certainly do have a wonderful collection of watercolours and how organised you are. I'm sure I'd save myself pounds if I did that. Enjoy the rest of your day. Barbxx

  11. Great idea to do the swatches. I always check my colour charts before buying new pens. Must save a fortune doing it rather than guessing! Take care Zo xx 35

  22. I really love anything in colour order - it just draws me to it and those swatches are beautiful laid out like that - they could be framed! It's such a good idea to keep a record of colours you have, I've doubled up so many times and it's so annoying!
Hope you have a great week and thank you so much for stopping by my desk,

  23. Very colourful - and such a good idea to keep track of what you already have - I think a system like this would be useful for Promarkers as well.

  27. First of all thanks for visiting me yesterday whilst I was out and about.
My word, you created those swatches? I once created swatches for the 120 Twinkling H2o's I had but the thought of doing something like that again is daunting. Must be getting old!
Yes, we should think before we purchase and not fall into the trap set up by the manufacturers to buy buy buy.

  28. Sandra, I love those swatches, never mind that it is a good idea, just the swatches are lovely, all those beautiful colours. At first glance I thought you had made some very clever flowers for your page, then I looked at the pictures in close up and saw what they were. I think I need to do the same with my Pan Pastel. Thanks for sharing the idea.
Thanks too for visiting my page and your nice compliments.

  29. Good morning, Sandra! What a great idea to do the swatches! And with having different styles of water colors, I should do this as I know the shading with each style with differ. Yay, one more project on my organizing journey. :-) I did get my organizing for yesterday done. Rewarding myself with a bit of shopping today ;-) Creative Blessings! Kelly #43
