woyww - no birds only faces

The little robin from last week is sitting patiently on my desk watching me paint faces with "flowers in her hair"

Signed up for Toni Burt's online class and I am just playing around painting faces.

Two attempts so far.  Not really sure on the "flowers in the hair" touch.   But, I am happy with how the faces are coming along.

Have a happy woyww.

  1. Oh, I like them very much - the faces have a vintage look about them. The flowers work well too...I'm glad you're enjoying the class!

  2. Those are really pretty. I can see what you mean about the flowers but love the effect....maybe they need a few wisps of hair too?

  3. Lovely faces Sandra and I agree with LLJ that they have a vintage look about them. Could you incorporate leaves in with the flowers and tendrils to soften the effect maybe. All this advice and you are the expert as far as painting is concerned.

  5. Hi Sandra
The faces are looking good and the flowers on the top one suit. But I'm not sure of the flowers on the other one. Something not quite "right" about them? Anyway, look forward to seeing them IRL.

  6. Wonderful faces and very different projects for you! It's lovely to see that you're diversifying! You do realize once you open the floodgates to mixed media - you won't ever be able to close them again, LOL! The faces look like you've been doing this for years! Happy WOYWW and thanks so much for visiting earlier! zsuzsa #22
