woyww - Gigi in watercolour

Gigi was a pleasure to paint
and that is because I didn't let her into my studio.

Have a happy woyww.

  2. Hahaha!! So cracked up over that Sandra! My nephew has a pug Frankie who goes everywhere with him.. but not inside at mum’s. Was house rule at our home and she’s continuing it! Gigi certainly is very beautifully done. Still so glad we met that day. A good memory, say hi to Arts if you catch up and give her my love. I’m supposed to be down on very first Thurs of Nov but not sure will have time as have tests as well as Drs visit and travel, then travel onto south coast, not a Fri either.
Happy WOYWW. Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #20

  14. Not a clue what happened then. I was happily commenting away and suddenly my own profile came up and search as I may I could not find my half written comment.
From what you have written I was saying that I love your humour almost as much as your artwork but your art actually wins hands down. I take it you painted the adorable little Gigi from a photograph? I had a friend who was very good at painting and I remember her saying that fur and feathers were two of the most difficult things to capture. That was her opinion but I can imagine that it is quite true yet you seem to do it so perfectly each time you paint an animal or a bird. I wish I lived in Australia so I could come and see some of your work in real life, I admire you so much.
This is truly beautiful, Gigi's owners must be so pleased.
    Hugs, Neet 5 xx
