woyww- bee moved over for the French Bulldog

French Bulldog puppy has replaced the bee over the weekend.  Painted in watercolour and no background at this stage.

The original image by Arielle Tissier found on Pinterest and it is beautiful with splashes of turquoise paint in the background .  My background has a smudge on the right of his paw.  A result of trying to add a watermark and a poor attempt to digitally erase.  I take a photo in poor light and yet the smudge is crystal clear.  Go figure.

The bee is coming along and not causing any problems at this stage.   Can't wait to see how Anna Mason tackles the hairs on this little fellow.

Have a great woyww.

  1. The puppy is very cute! And I am pleased that I got to see him IRL! A difficult subject, you've captured him so well.
I have not opened my calendar yet because I want to enjoy the anticipation for as long as possible, although I may not actually make it to Christmas :)
Thanks again for your lovely gifts :)

  4. More great work from the brush of Sandra de! Lovely watercolour of your little dog, perhaps the smudge can be incorporated into the background (not sure if it is on the actual work or not).
Look forward to seeing more of the bee.

  6. Hi Sandra, looking forward to seeing the finished bee too! Nice work on the bulldog. Back from appt, still not got a date! Surgeon not in clinic, saw a registrar, who has to speak with the surgeon about a date, so not exactly a happy bunny. Does look like it may well be mid Jan, as they have no surgery list next week, and then it's Christmas week. Oh well, it is what it is, and thats all. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz xxx

  7. Blimey, you're going to have to have a minuscule brush to paint the hairs onto that bee! And a large magnifying glass...or maybe that's just me and my old git eyesight! Love the bee and the pup, you're so talented!
