Belated christmas greetings to all woyww's. Hope your day was joyous and shared with family and friends.
We started the day with a christmas service, then unwrapped gifts, ate lots of delicious food, drank champagne and shared the odd christmas cracker joke. All very quiet in our little family and I am sure the routine was repeated all over the world. Once upon a time I used to take a family pic but, the family flee when they see me with a camera. So what we have is the tree.
The good part of a quiet christmas ... I finally finished painting the bee.
There was a painful moment when I thought about chucking the bee in the bin and to start painting a cupcake.
But, Anna Mason reminds us to push through the ugly duckling stage and keep going until you have a hairy bee.
And this one was hairy.
Wishing you all a very Happy 2017.

ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW and Happy New Year for Sunday. I had hoped to go to a Christmas service, but was not well enough to drive out on the day. I always forget to take photos of my family - unless it is my granddaughters and then I get hundreds! Your bee is incredible. Ali x #14
ReplyDeleteWowser, am glad you heard the 'push past it' voice - its absolutely terrific isn't it - you must be pleased with it! I have only a photo of the tree to remind me, seems we have similar families!
ReplyDeleteWe had a quiet Christmas day too, which was perfect after all the busy chaos leading up to it! I'm so glad that you enjoyed it with your family...the thought of them fleeing the camera made me hoot though!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad the bee wasnt binned...it's amazing. How can you possibly get the hairy effect so spot on?!
Wishing you a happy and healthy 2017,
Hugs, LLJ 11 xxxx
Our Christmas was very quiet too - at times like that, I'm grateful for having just a small family! The bee looks superb! I often wondered how people manage to do hair on people and animals - I bet it takes a lot of patience, so not something I would be good at. That's why I do "whimsy" LOL! Wishing you the very best for 2017! zsuzsa #15
ReplyDeleteA quiet Christmas here as there aren't many family left now and they live abroad, but Christmas day was warm and sunny. Love your bee bet you are glad you persevered now. Happy New Year. Ani xx
ReplyDeleteHairy but amazing! Beautiful artwork. Well done.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy WOYWW, my 'boys' are napping so I have managed to get on the laptop to wish you a happy New year.

Just wanted to pop by here and wish you happy crafting and a wonderful new year! Bee happy!x Jo
ReplyDeleteWe had a quiet one too, but lovely all the same. Santa brought me a swish new camera so there was no fleeing allowed at our house!!! Your bee is stunning, don't you dare think of binning....art is brilliant however it turns out. My plan for the New Year is to break out the paints I've been treating myself too. If I can be a quarter as good as you, I'll be a happy bunny.Hoping 2017 is a good one for you.

Your bee is spectacular! So glad you listened to your friend and pushed on. Happy Holidays to you! Dorlene #28
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bee. It turned out wonderful! Mine tend to run when they see a camera. I always bribe them telling them I need it for Nana's calendar. The three of them were warned I was going to take a picture as I wasn't sure when they would be together again.
