I look forwards to Wednesday since woyww. I am always surprised how quickly Wednesday arrives and then I can't wait to have a peek at so many creative desks, sharing ideas and having a giggle. So a big thank you to Julia who started it all. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said hello last week. I'm still quite chuffed at how well the alcohol inks covered my new shelf, the colours I used were Raisin and Butterscotch on the normal applicator and probably used a teaspoon of colour all up. Not bad.
Currently working on ATC's for the darkroom door swap using the filmstrip photos of Paris and Prague. Rachel is currently in the UK at the stitches trade show. She is brilliant and her blog is full of amazing creations, I hope UK crafters got to meet her. I still have Amy's package (I promise to post this week) sitting on my desk from last week. Here is a closer view of the atc. The shimmery background is from all the glimmermist I sprayed over the door stamp. Colours are a bit brighter in natural light. Still thinking about what else I should add. Any suggestions??

woyww
A bit of a mess actually. Still sorting out stuff hanging around from the holiday like the passports and Amy's goodie bag (I will put in the post.... I promise). Trying to make a quick card using the Twinkie or Karin stamps from Stampotique coloured with watercolours. Love those stamps.
Didn't get to post last week so I couldn't explain that I have a new shelf on my desk. Made of raw pine and I coloured it with Alcohol Inks because I am lazy. Turned out beautifully and even DH couldn't believe I had stained, polished and it was dry in 10 minutes ready for him to assemble. Now trying to catch up on all those jobs without losing the holiday feeling ...

I've been tagged....
Karen from Ink, Paper, Scissors has tagged me. How sweet is that my first tag ever. Thanks Karen that completely threw me.
There are a couple of conditions attached to this award:
Once TAGGED and if you want to participate, then you create a post where you post the 'LOVE BLOG' image.
You should also blog the persons link that gave you the award and inform her/him that you accept the award.
You then choose 3 - 5 favourite blogs which you also link in your post, then inform each blogger that they have been tagged.
The aim of the award is that we bring, good blogs to light, (the quiet achievers) so I would ask you not to blog fellow bloggers that already have 3,000 followers. Just new blogs with a small group of followers.
It's hard to pick 3 but I think I will pass the award along to:
Morti who is always doing something interesting and it's not always craft.
RosA who is a wealth of knowledge about crafty bits and pieces.
Ciara who makes gorgeous cards and has the cutest dog. (also great technical help)
No problem if you don't want to participate just want you to know that your blog has been recognised and we want others to know about your cool blog .....

Home sweet home
Home after a week in Bali. Had every intention of blogging for WOYWW but this proved difficult as I didn't take my laptop and hotel internet service was unpredictable. In the end I just decided to relax and go with the flow. A couple of photos of beautiful Bali ....
No I didn't read "Eat, Pray, Love" saw the movie (my friend's choice and what a mistake) and tried to convince her to leave for the next hour. Apologies to anyone who loved the book or the movie, not my thing at all. Beautiful flower arrangements everywhere you looked.

WOYWW -spot what I have added
Thanks to everyone who visited last week and left such lovely comments. I tried to get around to as many as possible but so many blogs to visit and not enough time..... will try to get around to more people this week.
I love WOYWW for the great crafting ideas, wonderful comments (ones that make me giggle and ones that make me think) from such lovely people and of course the variety of storage ideas for the huge quantities of stuff we all seem to have. Which got me thinking about what I needed on my desk. Can you spot it?
It was cheap, the wrong colour (which I changed thanks to Alcohol Inks) and the right size. Perfect... As I love everything organised it suited me to a T.
I can't show any of the finished layouts from last week as I have mailed them today off to the flood appeal. Please pray for the people of North Queensland tonight they are facing a cyclone - category 5.... Just when you think they can get on with recovering from the floods they now face a cyclone.

January and February pages
Wow January just flew by and even though I didn't have a very busy month still managed to fill the calendar with notes of things done. January is a painted background, scrapbook pages cut up, bling and a final spray of glimmer mist.
February is pretty much the same but I used tattered angel stamps, glimmermist, paints, inks and scrap paper for the calendar. I have gone for a linear look. But, that is ok next one will be different. Apologies for the poor lighting it looked better before I uploaded.
Off to see what others have done and get some inspiration.
