Thanks to everyone who visited last week and left such lovely comments. I tried to get around to as many as possible but so many blogs to visit and not enough time..... will try to get around to more people this week.
I love WOYWW for the great crafting ideas, wonderful comments (ones that make me giggle and ones that make me think) from such lovely people and of course the variety of storage ideas for the huge quantities of stuff we all seem to have. Which got me thinking about what I needed on my desk. Can you spot it?
It was cheap, the wrong colour (which I changed thanks to Alcohol Inks) and the right size. Perfect... As I love everything organised it suited me to a T.
I can't show any of the finished layouts from last week as I have mailed them today off to the flood appeal. Please pray for the people of North Queensland tonight they are facing a cyclone - category 5.... Just when you think they can get on with recovering from the floods they now face a cyclone.
Nature really does have a lot of power doesn't it? Scarey.

Not sure if the Last weeks WOYWW (we I've just done!!) worked as blogger went to error...but anyway, I'll say it again, love your little pencil holder thingy at the back.Your desk looks a lot tidier, your layouts for the flood appeal were fabulous. Happy WOYWW, on time this week!

Oh my another tidy crafter - gulp! lol! I heard about the floods this morning and having lived through hurricane Rita in Houston 5 years ago I know how they feel - sometimes its nice to be in boring old England where the weather is predictable!
ReplyDelete(I think it is your ruler.)
ReplyDeleteI feel so sad for people caught up in natural disasters, there is so little they can do...must be a very frightening situation to be in.

What did you change the colour of with alcohol ink? Is it the red thing on your craft pad? I can'r quite make out what that is so that's my guess.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope the people in Queensland will be okay. My thought will be with them.
xoxo Karen (#69)
my thoughts are with them hun as well
ReplyDeletethanks for the snoop

ReplyDeleteIt is so sad for those people and animals in Queensland, unbelievable what they have had to go through.
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks very tidy and organised I am wondering what it is you have altered. xx
I've no idea what it is, but can't wait to find out. happy woyww, thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeletecrafty hugs - Andria (42).
it is Fuse Wire,
ReplyDelete( used by electricians)
the blue 'bead' is actually the glass resister, but I use the wire/bead to secure head into my dolls heads...
Don't tell Mr Doone I am stealing his fuse wire...

ReplyDeleteDefinitely thinking about those in N. Queensland.
ReplyDeleteLove your work space! Great WOYWW. Kim
Is it the shelf? I don't think I remember seeing that before, but then I am quite dizzy sometimes!
ReplyDeleteHey girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteI feel like shit today so I don't have anything to say, I just figured I'd visit you anyway.
I said 'shit' on your blog.
Xx,
Amy
Hi Sandra, Nice tidy desk today! I reckon you've alcohol-altered those three little cube containers? and I reckon they were spice containers in a previous life? Am I right?
ReplyDeleteYour desk always looks so neat and tidy! What did you add? Vickie
ReplyDeleteMethinks it could be the ruler too... cos its the colour of stuff that I have dabbed alcohol inks onto! LOL Lovely tidy desk and your LO's are beautiful. Annette #4
ReplyDeletea blizzard seems like nothing when compared to a cyclone. What is up with the world's weather lately.
ReplyDeleteSuch a tidy work space, you can tell I've not been there.
Hi Sandra, Me again! I had another look at your desk (don't ask me why, you'd think I had something better to do, but I'm putting off going home and leaving the air conditioning). I reckon that vase thing in front of the three little containers could have been alcohol inked and naturally you would use it to put pens etc in. Is that a better guess?
ReplyDeleteSomeone has really ticked off Mother nature this year haven't they? We had a load of snow dumped on us Tuesday night, but I think I'd rather face that than a cyclone, which they were reporting over here as being as big as Hurricane Katrina that swamped New Orleans a few years ago. Hope everyone is safe.

I can't tell what's been inked - you have too much skill, it all looks too good!!
ReplyDeleteOh those Queenslanders have been front and centre of my mind...first thing this AM I was all over facebook trying to see if our Mission Beach friends were online.
What a wonderful, tidy desk! Inspiration to get mine back to that stage! Star 125
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, Well the shelf looks great and your desk always looks tidy and organised. And, yes, that metallic stuff is off a bottle or two and I'm going to put it through the Cuttlebug when I have the energy.
ReplyDeleteClueless, Thanks for the peek and sharing, hugs Marjo lucky #1
ReplyDeleteHello Sandra, we have been following the news about the floods, and then the cyclone, not least because we have a young nephew slap bang in the middle of it all. Fortunately, he reports that he is just fine - save by mango groves, I understand! However, it's been a worrying time for you all. I can't work out what you've changed except it all looks tidier and I'm not sure I can see the shelf in a previous photograph but that could just be the light. You are going to have to put us out of our misery next WOYWW. Elizabeth x #96
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra! I hope you are well! I have an award for you on my blog. Today's post (Feb 10th)
