WOYWW -backgrounds

The desk is not very interesting as I am in the process of finding my login details for the "She art workshop" which started on Monday but, I didn't start until Wednesday.  Also a couple of cards I made and some postcards I picked up from the hospital art exhibition I went to on Tuesday.

A pic of the first stage of the workshop. The canvas with their different background papers (tissue paper, book pages/ sheet music and scrapbook leftovers).
Final photo after I have added the first layer of paints, texture paste and ink as I start playing around with the backgrounds.
Not showing the third canvas as it is sulking in the corner.  It turned into a hideous muddy mess and has been painted white.  When it behaves it will be given one more chance.  Enjoy your Wednesday.

  3. Loving your artwork - if there is one that's hiding because you don't like it just keep working those layers until you do! Hope you have a great Wednesday!

  6. Your layouts are looking great. I love the colours you've chosen. Hopefully the naughty one will behave and be allowed to be turned into something equally beautiful.

  13. Your projects are looking good! Great colours! I like the Pro markers although I am not so good at using them yet really! I like em because thay blend so well being alcohol based pens. You dont see the colouring in lines :0) I will get there with em eventually! Have a great & crafty week!

  14. I've just popped back to thank you for your comments and answer your question on the pro markers, but it looks like Lavinia has beaten me to it.
They give you a really professional finish and blend beautifully for really easy shading. I am still learning with them but love them the more I play.

  18. I love the process you went through to get them this far. I assume the third one got muddy and you needed to redo it. Sometimes that happens, especially if you add to many colors, or the colors are complimentary to each other. Love what you have done with the other two, though.

  19. Hi Sandra, Those canvases are looking great! I notice your Pritt Gel Glue. Where do you buy it? Mine is running out and I can't find it anywhere.

  20. Hi Sandra! Spooky, I just bought a couple of old books of sheet music at our local charity shop yesterday - love what you've done. Am off to Lisa's to see what this is about Pro Markers :) I currently use Aqua Markers but am suspecting, from results I've seen, that the blending might be good with PMs!! Just need to go rob a bank now!! Thanks for calling by yesterday - window is all fixed, craft room back to being messy!! All is well with the world :)) Di xx
