Trying desperately to come up with something creative for an ATC swap. An inventor theme and that is why "Leonardo" is looking grim on my desk. He can't believe this is all I can come up with .... no imagination, no inventiveness and definitely no creativity this morning. So Leonardo and I just keep staring at each other waiting for inspiration to strike.
On a good note I did finish the second pendant and attached it to a card. I also did a bit of shopping and now have new stamps and TH embossing folders. Thank goodness it's Wednesday and I can peek at everyones desk on woyww and take the pressure off Leonardo.
Hi Sandra, Leonardo will work out, I'm sure. And that pendant looks fabulous! Nice card too!
ReplyDeleteOooo, yes, it is the reflection, but it looks jolly good, doesn't it! Do you like the trees growing out of the water? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and glad you liked the LO as it was as I have since stuck it down! Not sure about Leonardo. How about some hesian string and a metal gear or two? BJ#47
ReplyDeleteWhat you need is Tim's set of Steampunk stamps to add to this guy...Oh how I know that stumped feeling. I would lend you my stamps if we were not so far apart!
ReplyDeleteLeonardo and I had a staring match a year or so ago when I used a similar stamp! I ended up using some Graphic 45 steam punk debutante paper on the tag and gears. It is a nice stamp but.... Glad you liked my rat trap. After I get some magnets I plan on hanging it on the refrigerator to clip up notes. Vickie #38

Hope Mr Mojo turns up (though you could do worse than check out the recent Renaissance Men challenge entries (and Linda Coughlin's own DT piece too) over at Frilly and Funkie - lots of them were Leonardo-based!)... The OCShoppe project looks great... and how lovely to have new stash to play with! Thanks so much for dropping in at Words and Pictures.

I love Leonardo, so I hope he helps you come up with something beautifully artistic. Love your pendant and especially the way you attached it to the card. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

Is that a stamp? Love that. Colorbox? Clearsnap? (not sure) used to do sets of famous people stamps - I always meant to get them and then never did. I wonder if they still sell them? You've made me want to shop. Naughty!

If Leonardo isn't floating you boat, why not look up Heath Robinson and Roland Emmett, two VERY eccentric British inventors...they might be a bit more fun?? You'll see what I mean if you look at their inventions :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Sandra, if ever you come to the UK, I'll be buying the drinkies!!
Hugs, LLJ #74 xx
you will think of something! nice card too! Happy woyww-Lindsay/frugalcrafter #25
ReplyDeleteI love the dimension the pendant gives. I'm about to have my kid's "art group" create backgrounds for some tags and ATC's. I'm making the WOYWW for the first time! Blessings, Lisa
ReplyDeleteWith Leonardo to help I'm sure inspiration will strike very soon. Love those new goodies, are they Dark Room Door stamps? That card with the pendant is beautiful. And I work better when I'm organised, does my head in to have a really untidy desk, can't see the wood for the trees sort of thing.

I hope you find your mojo soon, there is nothing worse then the endless stare waiting for some sort of idea to creep into your head.
ReplyDelete{just an idea that popped into my head looking at the ATC's, you could give some added depth by doing the packing tape transfer technique, maybe using the Mona image! just a thought}
Happy WOYWW

Mmm I think I would struggle with Leonardo but I am sure you will transform him. x Jo
ReplyDeleteOh how I want to create some ATCs--I've never done this, and I just know that when Leonard gets happy, yours are going to be amazing! Crafty hugs dearest! -Sandy Leigh
ReplyDeleteLike butterfly, above, says, have a look at Frilly and Funky, there were some amazing pieces by the DT and others which may just inspire you. Love the card and pendant, very lovely indeed. Happy WOyWW, Anne x #59
ReplyDeleteVery neat and tidy desk today! Love the Leo ATC's
ReplyDeleteKaren #108
Maybe it's because there are so MANY of him staring at you! I would put them all aside except the one and have him be less intimidating. I know you will come up with something great. Love the pendant embellie!! Thanks for visiting me earlier! Have a great week! Darnell #53

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that Leonardo can take it....he may look a bit grim, but he's exactly the ticket really!! But don't fret, the idea will come...probably at a very inconvenient time!!! Love the pendant, doesn't it look pretty mounted on the card.
ReplyDeleteI cannot work if I am being stared at... turn him over see if it helps!!! I love that G45 design I broke my pledge and bought the whole 12 x 12 set I have used most of it up already, only basic grey tempts me more that G45!

It's awful when you lose sight of creativity esp with Leon gazing at ya, I'm sure it will all come together soon. Love the pendant.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Elaine #29

ReplyDeletejanet #9
Lol Sandra - you ARE crazy - all WOYWW does is to show you that you are not alone in your craziness ROFL!!! Thanks for your comment - it really made me smile!! I can't wait to get rid of the stuff I've cleared, and get my floor back - the place is an awful tip at the moment and it's making being creative quite difficult but I'm coping as best as I can!
ReplyDeleteYou are Leonardo are a great team, never fear! With him to help you, your Mr. Mojo will be shamed into coming home again! Love what you've done so far - great colour, great image. The rest will come! Sleep on it.
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi #10
Hmmm...sorry I can't help you and Leonardo. This ATC swapping thing is still quite a mystery to me. But I hope inspiration does strike soon. Have a great WOYWW and a great week of creativity!

ReplyDeleteHi there Sandra, I had to laugh at you and dear Leonardo.. such a gentle face not grim, I would say?! do love it so far - maybe you need to rethink his temperament to help you :D
ReplyDeleteI saw his celebratory presentation at Victoria and Albert museum in 2009, I think or was it 2006, went there both times... anyway remember their reconstructions of his designs rather fascinating; oh and I do LOVE that tile...
Thanks so much for popping over and thanks for sharing ~ happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz. x #64
Yay for shopping!!! I always love playing with new goodies! I hope Leonardo starts smiling for you soon!

I was by Wednesday morning, then my computer froze. I didn't have time to reboot because I had to leave with my neighbor. I love Vitruvian Man, the man with 4 arms and legs that Leo is so famous for. You might have to do an internet search to find him, although I know you, unlike me, are the type who will probably want to stamp your project. Sorry I'm so late getting here. Thanks for your visit on Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Leonardo is looking quite grim on your desk there. I hate that when the creativity is lacking. The pendant you made is fabulous though!
ReplyDeleteAnd I've tried lots of drugs for my nose and there is no love, well, maybe a little love, but not enough love. I think I might have a full-on sinus infection. I have a doctor's appt today.
Super pendant - and I hope you and Leonardo are both feeling happier now :)
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy WOYWW, Di xx #7
Poor Leonardo! He looks abandoned but I bet he's found a home by now! Love the pendant on the card!
ReplyDeleteYou kindly asked to see my Chunky ATC when it was finished. Well it is! Details here: http://bit.ly/RmlyFm Happy (belated) Wednesday x
He is looking a bit grimm there isn't he? I would be scared off to if he kept staring at me like that.
ReplyDeleteHope your mojo has struck by now.
Happy belated WOYWW!
Tertia #116
What a beautiful pendant and it looks great on that card. Hope you get your Leonardo woes sorted soon - he does look a bit scary, waiting for inspiration to strike! Thanks for stopping by my desk. Happy belated WOYWW! Victoria no.55
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteYour workdesk is so clean and tidy - just waiting for inspiration to appear! Seems like a number of bloggers are searching for lost MoJos - me included - must be that time of year! Wishing you a great weekend!
Hugs,
Barbara Diane
