woyww - no desk

A big thank you to Lisa and Bella for the lovely atc's which arrived last week after my Wednesday post.  In the meantime my camera has stopped working with a system zoom error continually coming up on the screen.  So I am using Photo Booth to take pics and post for woyww.
A messy sunset but I will continue to persist and not over think what I did wrong.  As the teacher constantly told me "it's only a piece of paper.... just move on!"

  2. The sunset looks nice, but I will wait to see it IRL :)
Hope the camera comes good? (Oh wait, that's the same camera I have, isn't it? Hmm, let me know what happens with it.)

  4. I think it is a lovely watercolour but agree with your teacher, because it what I tell people when I teach scrapbooking... its only paper, no problem!! :) Shame about the camera, you and Elizabeth having camera probs this week. Happy WOYWW from Annette #9

  5. I'm liking your messy sunset and the landscape from the earlier post, we're definitely our own worst critics. Hope you get the camera sorted out soon, and yes, I'm always on the "C" thing to varying degrees! Don't like the stress later in the year!

  6. I like your sunset but not too sure about your teacher's remark. What about the time the thought processes and the paint - hmmmm - teacher's aren't in my good books at the moment I have to say. Thanks for stopping by my desk this week BJ#55

  10. Well I for one like your watercolour and am not sure the teacher is correct. Apart from anything else art is very subjective but don't get me started on the subject. Certainly do not let her stem your creativity.
Hope you get your camera put right before too long - how annoying, especially to a crafty blogger.
Thanks for your earlier visit - Hugs, Neet xx 16

  12. Hi Sandra,
Thanks for the earlier visit to Betsy. Be sure to take some heart medication before visiting next week for the rest of the room....LOL
I love your water color painting, not to sure about the teacher's comment. Hope your camera decides to come about and act like a camera should

  13. Actually, realising that the world is still turning after something hasn't turned out the way you want is a massive life lesson...be it in art or other parts of your life. I've learned that one the hard way! And there is no right and wrong really....what floats my boat, Julia normally dislikes and vice versa, especially with colours!! And that's ok!
Hope your camera is resurrected soon!!

  16. Hmmmm, I guess I would get a failing grade as an art critic then because I think your sunset paper is nothing short of glorious, Sandra!!

Thanks for sharing the ATCs and thank you for stopping by the Playhouse and letting me know you came! Have a wonderful week! Darnell #20

  17. Hi Sandee
love your landscape, the colours are very restful. An art teacher once told me the same thing many years ago I wish I had listened, so many hours stressing about my mistakes

  19. Well I think it's a lovely painting. You get the beauty and serenity of a sunset and the contrast with the reeds in the front. Looks gorgeous to me.
    Have a great week.

  20. Hi Sandra
I love your painting and to me it doesn't need any more but then I am not an artist. I love the softness to it so dreamy

  22. How funny. Neither of us had a desk this week OR a working camera. But you had a fantastic sunset. You call it messy. I say you are too hard on yourself. I love it. Sorry I'm late getting here, but please have a great slightly late WOYWW from #17.

  23. Glad your atc arrived ok, it's so strange to think of it leaving my desk and flying to the other side of the world, wish I could've joined it though!!
Love your pretty watercolour. Don't be too over critical, it's beautiful as it is.

  24. Cameras can be the most irritating things, ugh. The atcs are fun, and your watercolor is very pretty--that's a good, though, what your teacher said, I should frame that and hang it up in my art room!!!

Thank you for stopping by this woyww, I appreciate your visit!

  25. LOL! I always say that to myself when I am fretting over a layout "Its only paper!" The tea has probably gone cold by now because it has taken me so long to get around everyone but its okay!

I think you’ve done a great job with the sun set Sandra. Don’t be so critical of yourself, way better than I could ever have done. Hope you get your camera fixed soon.

    Happy Crafting!
