Jacaranda trees are in flower all over Sydney and the streets and gardens are littered with the beautiful lavender blooms.
I couldn't resist painting a few of the falling flowers
and a quick sketch of a branch in bloom.
Have a lovely woyww.
Ah yes, they are very pretty, but ours overhangs the power lines, rather too closely, in fact.
ReplyDeleteProbably no WOYWW this week, absolutely flat out. But let me know if you have a free Wednesday before dreaded school holidays :)
Gorgeous paintings.

ReplyDeleteSuch lovely blooms and delicate art work. Love it, Sandra. Happy WOYWW, Chris # 8
ReplyDeleteOh these look lovely, Sandra. My favourite colour too. I was watching something about the Rugby I think it was and was saying to Hubby that it looked awfully summery for Britain when he pointed out that it was actually Australia and that was why...I don't listen properly obviously, but anyway, your gorgeous weather made me very envious. Hope you are enjoying it.

I'm sitting down for while for the first time today having just got home from my day with the twinnie munchkins.....so what better to do than catch up with as many blogs as I can? :-)
ReplyDeleteThose are really gorgeous flowers....how lucky are you....and how talented are you to be able to capture them in your artwork.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful art work, how clever you are. I have never seen these trees before so I guess they don't grow in the UK they probably don't like our climate.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great crafty week, Angela x 28

These are beautiful, the colours are perfect. I love spring as we have so many jacarandas here and now the red trees are in bloom every where. Your water colour is superb, I just can't get the hang of it myself.

Love the soft lavender of your flowers. We don't have that one in our geographical location. Thanks for popping by. Keep smiling and creating, Happy WOYWW

Hi Sandra de,
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely watercolors! I especially love the branch full of blooms. As for my part of the world winter is in full swing (without the piles of snow) and everything is brown. I have some great photos of my honeysuckle mixed with my silver lace vine - maybe I'll have a go!
Thank you for visiting me earlier. I'm slowly making my way around to desks. It will be an all weekend affair!
Happy belated WOYWW,
Peace, Kay (12)
Hi Sandra
ReplyDeleteIt must be a wonderful sight in Sidney with all those gorgeous little purple flowers. The sketch looks like lots of little purple flying ducks...... just fab
