painting a shell

The desk looks relatively tidy as I move on to painting a shell. One the left is a black and white image provided by Anna Mason and next to it is the very light sketch.  Just above the sketch is a lovely Xmas card that arrived yesterday from RosA (thank you). On the right is my pallet with the very dirty mixing tray waiting to be cleaned.  Not a great deal happening on the desk.
But, lots happening at home as we prepare for guests, gifts and lots of food followed by a holiday.

Wishing everyone a merry christmas and happy new year.

  4. Actually, I like seeing dirty paint palettes like that...it's interesting to see what colours you've mixed! The shell will be gorgeous no doubt...you're a very talented artist. Enjoy the festivities with your family and friends..thank you for the fun, friendship and support this year

  5. You are an incredible painter Sandra. I looked at your picture and could not work out what you had painted on the shell. It was so life like, I thought it was a real shell which you were embellishing with some paint. I had to click on it an expand it to see that it was a painting of a shell. Brilliant.
    Well done.
Thanks for dropping by at my page, and you lovely comments.
Have a joyful Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

  12. The good thing about you watercolour art is that it doesn't require many supplies. It's easy to keep your desk tidy and you don't need lots of storage either. I'm a supply junkie and I often feel I'm drowning in all my supplies. Sometimes, I don't even know where I put them! Lovely card from RosA - it must have been in an earlier batch, not the one she's sending out today! Happy holidays! zsuzsa #38

  16. Like the White Rabbit in Alice I am "Late" - only just getting around to commenting and it is almost time for another week to begin. Sorry, but Christmas got in the way.
The shell picture, I imagine is for inspiration or know how, is beautiful and I cannot wait to see how you went on with your drawing of it.
    All the best for 2016
    Hugs, Neet xx
