Working on Anna Mason's "apple blossom" tutorial and what should take 1 day has taken me a week and a half. Only because I start, stop and dither, start, stop and have a cup of tea and then go to work and the cycle repeats.
The blossoms put me in the mood to make an edible bouquet.
Hopefully the chocolates will stay on until I can get it to work. Peaking out of the right hand corner is the lid to the box.
Finally the completed "apple blossom" and all credit to Anna Mason online school. Her detailed technique suits me to a tea.
Have a lovely woyww.
Looks like you've learnt your lessons well - that is glorious - who cares if it took you so long, (hey. life gets in the way!) - if that's the results.. and the edible bouquet looks pretty too. Helen #1

One word, Sandra....stunning!!! I would frame this and have it on my wall, it's simply beautiful. It doesn't matter how long things take does it as long as you've enjoyed the process. Love your edible bouquet too.

This is stunning! You are definitely a talent! Well done! Glenda #30
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter how long it takes you, so long as you enjoy it, and it sounds as if you do. I wonder what part of the process makes you dither? I bet you don't really! It is a beautiful painting. so is the chocolate bouquet, what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteSee, that's why I can't do this sort of art! I would never have the patience to work on something for 1.5 weeks! Perhaps 1.5 hours! Stunning piece of art again, but that doesn't surprise me any more! Love the idea of an edible bouquet! Is it for Valentine's day? Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #38

Apple blossom is my favourite. Love your painting, well worth all the time spent creating it. My back room is decorated in pale green with pink and white accessories - the nearest I can get to living in apple blossom time!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week

ReplyDeleteSandra, that painting is just beautiful. You really should exhibit your work, it is exquisite. Love the edible version too but the painting just leaves me covered in goose-pimples as it is so beautiful.
