Once again trying my hand at Anna Mason tutorial - Iris "Arctic Fancy". The original tutorial has one flower and I added second flower just to make it more interesting. Struggling to get the right hue but, not really worried at this stage. If mine is a little more violet than blue I don't care as I am getting into such a muddle keeping to a light wash. My natural tendency is to keep adding lots of paint and what I should do is leave it to dry before I paint the next wash. Probably two thirds of the way through the tutorial and I am aiming to finish it by the easter weekend.

What a lovely subject to paint - it reminds me of my old friend Lesley unfortunately no longer with us who collected painting of irises. I love the vibrant violet and its looking great. Have a good Easter x Jackie 33

Oh girl your irises are beautiful. They have to be my favorite flower in the world. My mother had one of so many beautiful colors and a black one growing in her garden. I am slowly trying to scatter them here and there in my yard. I just wish they bloomed all year round! Sorry I got off into space there! I love your drawing and find you are such a talent! Glenda #27
