woyww- pink rose at snail pace

Not a lot has changed from last week, still working on the rose and trying not to get bamboozled by all those petals and which one gets the highlight.  Finally moved on to the leaves last night.  Truly a snail would of eaten it faster then I paint.  The little desk lamp has been elevated onto the white shelf.  I kept having to move the rose photo to turn the lamp off.  Only took me several weeks to stop complaining and just move it.

Happy woyww and I promise to have a peek at lots of desks over the next few days.

  3. The slowness is worth it as your rose is so beautiful.
I learnt a trick yesterday with my lamp. It makes a great tool for adding light and shade to photographs by moving it about at different angles

  8. What Jan said! I am running out of words to describe the beauty of your paintings - this is exceptionally beautiful and all those petals make it look a lot harder to paint than some of the other flowers.
Hope you have a great week,

  10. Gasp! Your painting is so stunning! Way more beautiful than the original photo, but then that's the point of painting I guess, you've really brought out the beauty of the rose. Have a lovely day :o) Annie C #26

  18. Hi Sharon! Love to see the progress on that blooming rose! I seem to get hypnotized while doing paintings like that. Yours is just so beautiful!! Thanks for stopping by my studio! ... Alice in Wonderland is now an art journal ;-) - I love altering books. Alice lost all her pages so I put in all different kinds of paper to journal on.
Wishing you a creative WOYWW!! Hope to see you next week!

P.S. Snail pace is good, no need to rush
