woyww - sweet pink rose

A completed rose is sitting on my desk this Wednesday.  Happy with the end result which was painted over the Easter weekend.  The leaves took ages ... in the end I missed some of the veins.  So don't look too closely :) Once again all credit to Anna Mason's online classes.  This time I painted from the reference picture and relied on what I have learnt from previous tutorials.

A woyww desk photo to keep in the spirit of the post.

  4. Such beautiful work. Puts my first attempt at painting for an art journal page this week to shame (but then I did use my fingers rather than a brush for most of it). Happy WOYWW. Sarah #11

  11. nono, not all credit to the class, all credit to you, you're the one producing such lovely realistic looking paintings, even with a class I wouldn't come far. Happy WOYWW, Vicky #4

  12. Exquisite! I don't think anyone anywhere would know there were veins missing - it's utterly perfect. I've just seen the beautiful eggs in your previous post - Oh my, they are totally delightful too. An absolute pleasure to visit your desk as always,

  13. I can smell that beauty, Sandra. It's just beautiful. You capture them so perfectly they look like photos, you must have endless patience. I did a bit of painting over the weekend too but I'm enjoying being a bit looser in style. It's taking a bit of practise but the process is fun. Hope you had a lovely Easter.
