woyww - pretty one this time
Time to try and paint a white rose.
Following along in the style of Louise De Masi (Aussie artist) using the wet on wet technique. Her website and instagram is full of great ideas and tips.
Hi Sandra, your rose and leaves are remarkable. I thought the leaves were real too - fantastic piece, thank you for sharing! Have a lovely week Heather xx #9
WOW so beautiful. I peeped about the last few posts I've missed and you have some awesome paintings. So glad you share your talents. You should enter them in some contests, I'd say a blue ribbon for sure. Enjoy your week Thanks for the visit
My patching and darning is done and I've even shortened the sleeves on a jacket since that so I've a little more time for desk visiting now. Wow. That certainly is a pretty one. Hugs, Annie x #12
Oh Sandra, that is truly beautiful. I cannot make roses out of petal paste for decorating cakes (have tried for years and years), they turn out like cabbages but you have captured every single petal with each curl and twist so perfect. Then you have decided to paint it white which I think is most difficult itself for any flower - but this is wonderful. You know what a fan I am. I still have not put my atc away - it may have taken its time in getting to me but it is certainly going to take its time being on display before being put away with all my others. Not sure how long the cards will stay there, love the colours and they go so well with my dining room. Hugs, Neet 2 xx
The wet on wet technique always gives striking watercolour effects. This is truly amazing.. Thanks so much for sharing WoywW. Creative wishes Tracey #8
Exquisite, Sandra, my mother’s favourite flower was a white one, and she grew many ruses which I still have! Thanks for popping over and being a blessing, and may God bless you too. Hugs, Shaz in Oz.x #24
Stunningly beautiful Sandra - I'm alwasy amazed when I visit your blog, I just don't know how you make your paintings look so real - the leaves have real depth, the shading and gentle light on them make them look like they are standing out from the paper - you are sooooooo clever! Hope you have a great weekend, Diana xx
I can almost smell the perfume from here! Stunning! Thanks for sharing
