Mixed feelings about celebrating Australia Day .... I do think about what we have done to the people, how we treat new people to Australia, what we have done to the land and finally how some behave after a day of celebration??? I tend to spend time crafting at home interrupted by taking the teenager to all her activities. But, I will be making pavlova as requested by the whole family for desert this evening. Finally what is on my desk?
WOYWW comes around so quickly and the whole addictive process starts again. But I do have something to show working on the layouts for the queensland flood appeal. Enjoy your day as I sneak a peek at everyones desk.
As you have mixed feelings, i'll just wish you a happy wednesday, the page looks like a beautiful start, i'm sure it will look amazing when finished.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me :D

Hi Sandra... praise God all my family were safe from floods but know how you feel about it too. Praying for them all who lost so much...I went for a swim to celebrate Aussie day (figure that is an Aussie thing) and then spent the day doing jobs..Well, sort of seem to be on here still.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours here on layouts, and Happy WOYWW, and enjoy that Pav... might just pop around for a slice YUM!

Aw Sandra - me and the Yanks have been similarly wondering if patriotism serves a positive purpose, but there is lots to be proud of as well as things a nation could choose to do differently given their time over,
ReplyDeleteBut it is always Most lovely to meet a fellow citizen of Earth...
enjoy the Pavlova...
Dx
Your LO is looking lovely :)

Happy Australia Day to you, a bit late. Sorry I missed you last week. It's hard to be jolly and celebrate when so many are suffering in your country right now. I totally understand and hope you are far, far away from the floods and destruction. Happy WOYWW and Australia Day from #10.
ReplyDeleteAustralia Day.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I have lots of jokes for that, but lately, political humor seems to be causing a bit of conflict.
So okay. I'll stuff it for now and say this:
Coffee. you have Coffee on your desk.
I'd spill that shit with a quickness - doesn't it make your nervous?
God. I STILL need to mail out your stuff. I AM a loser.
Xx,
Amy
Looks like a great start.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the peek and sharing. Hugs, Marjo #7 Happy WOYWW
Hi Sandra, That pink/burgundy card and the 3D flowers are gorgeous. Please show the finished creation. Don't you need some more light on your desk?
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Australia Day, and we hope and pray that things in the floods areas are starting to recover in some way, even though it may never be quite the same again. Those layouts are so pretty, and anyone would be delighted to receive them.
ReplyDeleteWow love the papers you are using for you layouts - hope you had a nice day crafting and enjoyed your pavolova ~ Nicky 17
ReplyDeletelush papers, thanks for the snoop hun
ReplyDeletehugs
judie xx
Wow, your layout looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIf it helps, my son lives in Sydney and he has always been treated with warmth and kindness by your fellow Australian's. And this at a time when American's are not well liked in foreign lands. :)
There are always good people out there treating others with respect and helping out. From my point of view it seems only the bad stuff ever makes the media take notice. Guess they think the good things are not worth sharing.
Happy WOYWW!
