A messy little desk today, pulling out bits and pieces trying to see if I can pull a card together quickly. Trying to use the glimmer glass transparent overlays before I donate them to the next siblings group. You might just be able to catch a peek of the October calendar page under the pile of papers. Quite pleased that I have managed to keep up with Kate's calendar challenge. Only two months to go!!!
I might have a snoop and see if anyone is running a swap or a challenge. Actually all the swaps are a challenge but that is another story. Off to snoop, "ooh and ahh" over what everyone else is creating at woyww.
There's definitely a butterfly theme to WOYWW - yours are particularly beautiful against that cerulean sky!! You almost expect them to take off from the page :D

Love those butterflies, they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Sandra, really lovely, but I understand the need to pack up the single subject thing for a while! When I first glanced at your desk (sans glasses) I thought that acetate was some sort of animal skin. Euuuw!
ReplyDeleteYour butterfly canvases are just beautiful, Sandra, I love them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your desk.

Love those butterflies. I about fell off my chair when I read they were stamps! You did a super job.
ReplyDeleteI didn't play in WOYWW this week because I was out of town most of the week. While I was gone, I had my mail held at the PO. Further, my e-mail seems to have crashed and I can't get into it, regardless what I try.
So today (Saturday) when I finally had my mail delivered, guess what!! YES!! Your lovely gift arrived. I was simply thrilled and so pleased. I love the necklace, but I will probably not use it as such, but as part of my collection instead.
I have no other way to thank you for the beautiful art you sent, as well as the rocking horse, except on your blog. And of course, it's no sense trying to send an e-mail to me, since I won't get it, at least until I can get into my account. The ATC is gorgeous. I so love anything steampunk, although I have never tried that genre. And your tags are out of this world. I sat for hours inspecting them and seeing how beautiful and inspiring they were. I love your art because it doesn't look like everyone else's. Your package really touched my heart and I'm so very, very grateful. Thank you beyond belief.

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous canvas. Love the butterflies, and the colour is fab! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra De - I love butterflies. I was once in a Mardi Gras Krewe called "Mariposa" -- Spanish for butterfly; great title for your piece -Mariposa in Flight 1 and 2-- I enjoyed; came from WOYWW - although I wanted to join and didn't take a snap of my workdesk, but there are plenty areas like that and I can get messy.
