I have to admit to loving butterflies and they always find their way into a lot of my projects. I also noticed that I use script or text when I am working with butterflies. No logic or reason they just seem to go together for me. I wonder what other woyww find themselves using again and again.
So just for a change I made another ATC accordian book.
Yep, when I make something I like I just keep doing it. Finally an ATC where I tried out the hammered chipboard technique. Then I noticed I had used the butterfly and text background again.
I really need to get out a bit more.
I'm off to see what other woyww's have on their desk.
Too many butterflies? I really don't understand what the problem is. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour book cover is gorgeous!
Actually, I LOVE that butterfly and the ones on your desk, too. I don't think you can have too many butterflies, and when I find a certain style, I try to stick with it. Happy WOYWW from a non-butterfly # 3.
ReplyDeleteNo such thing as too many butterflies. How big is that one? It is quite lovely and I like it being used with the text background. Keep making the ATC books, they are so nice!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that ATC book is just fabulous. I really don't like butterflies in actual life, but I LOVE using them on scrapbook pages and seeing them on cards. So cute!
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with being hooked on butterflies and text. Butterflies are so feminine, or I feel that when I am card making.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely cover for your book, really pretty and most delightful. Love the atc too - hammered chipboard technique? Must look it up.
Don't forget to call in and check out my blog candy - it closes late tonight and I should be drawing tomorrow. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Neet 29
What's the hammered chipboard technique? Do you have a link for it, I would love to learn more about that. I have chipboard sitting around and need to do something with it! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
ReplyDeleteIf something isn't broken you shouldn't try to fix it... the butterflies and text work together beautifully and I love seeing another accordian book because I love the one you make for me sooooo much... you are clever clever lady... have a great creative week and sending Australia Post lots of hurry up thoughts...xx

That ATC is stunning and I agree text and butterflies do seem to fit together well. As for the one on your desk ...I so love it ...where is this going to rest.
ReplyDeleteI think text and butterflies are made for each other:)
ReplyDeleteOooh, another butterfly fiend! Love your butterflies and text together - lovely ATC, and I really like your accordion book too. What is the hammered chipboard technique? Any special hammer? It looks great! Glad you like my butterfies, and I hope you manage to get the glue in Oz, as it's awesome - you don't need much and it gives a good strong bond, really quickly too. It's great for boxes. Happy WOYWW, Shoshi #35
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, butterflies and text go well together. My go-to thing of late has been the image on a punched circle or oval with a larger punched circle or oval layered behind that. I was out of town for 2 weeks without those punches so I did get a chance to get out of that. Funny how there are things we gravitate to. Very nice looking ATC book!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful - just go with the flow and enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteThose are both beautiful projects! The butterflies lend themselves so well to text that it is hard to resist. And with ATC's as nice as yours, why would you stop? Dani28
ReplyDeleteGorgeous projects! I never thought of hammering chipboard! I find I usually use what is on my desk first. Of course it is usually full of stuff, so there is always a feast of choice lol.
ReplyDeleteBTW TH rulers are amazing. I love the piercing holes too. Thanks for stopping by :D #27
I love the beautiful butterflies how did you make them, are they stamped and cut? Your album is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe ATC Album is stunning! Hope you have a great weekend Lou @#89
ReplyDeleteFabulous book!
ReplyDeleteI love your butterflies! We all must have re-occuring themes in our work (mine is crows and trees). Love your last atc with the bright butterfly and black and white photo! *smiles* ~Jen
ReplyDeleteI agree with you...butterflies and text do go so well together.
ReplyDeleteYour look lovely...thanks for sharing these with us.
I say do what you love, push yourself creatively but don't stress over it I have never made an ATC let alone a book of them. yours are beautiful. TFS happy woyww, #52
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with butterflies and text, especially when you always make them look so glorious together.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving text at the moment, it's finding it's way onto everything.
Happy WOYWW
