woyww- monochromatic projects

A close up of my altered book well on its way to having a niche.  Cut, glued and clamped within an inch of its life.  My  new but old TH stamps.  I had been wondering if I could find a use and really needed them and then I saw them on sale and thought why not.  Haven't even opened the pack yet and no idea how I will use them.   But, I just have a feeling that you need a "hand, eye/test and fly" or your stamp collection is not complete.
Also working on a small canvas.  Which is now on hold, waiting for the teenager to confirm on the heart shape idea.  I could die waiting....

Lastly an ATC with the crayon resist technique, distress inks and a butterfly stamp.  Woyww has started  so I had better link up to Julia's amazing round the world desk peeking.

  6. If I’m honest Sandra, I find those stamps very scary and know I would never use them in a million years but I look forward to seeing what use them for…..fact is I’m too scared to branch out and try something different.

    Happy Crafting!

  14. Now why didn't I think of putting wax paper underneath my clamps? Too late now and no harm done although I almost ripped the outer pages removing the clamps this morning.
I could definitely find a use for those stamps - which sale were they in please.

  19. I have seen so many bulldog clips on various books today!! Lol, glad that everyone seems to be enjoying the class. That's a very eclectic series of stamps, calls out for steampunk, I think :)

  20. When you just need stamps, you've got to have them!! You could need those at any minute and be so annoyed you didn't have them, that's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it, lol.
Your flowery heart canvas is looking gorgeous and the ATC is stunning. I love the highlights on the butterfly
Have fun with it all and Happy WOYWW

  26. Oh yes, I have plenty of things in my stash that I needed at the time but have never taken them out of their packets! One day though I will go "aha" and pick up that set of stamps that's never been used and find it's absolutely perfect for what I want! Altered book is coming along a treat and I love the heart canvas even if the teenager doesn't!

  31. LOL

I can think of an awful lot of stamps that no collection is complete without! Must add those Tim Holtz ones to the list....

Your altered book is starting to take shape, and I really ought to pull my finger out and join in, trouble is, people keep wanting to come round for a visit and before you know it there's housework and shopping... oh well.

Love the ATC, and the canvas too....

    Thanks for stopping by!

  32. I'm having a terrible time getting Blogger to cooperate with me. Sorry I'm late. Looks like that niche is going to be finished in time for the next lesson. And I LOVE that stamp set. I'm not much of a stamper, but I sure like that set.

  33. Where I am,. WOYWW is probably over, but I'm still visiting, it's what a quiet sunday is for! I understand about the need for your addition to the stamp collection, and your question as to what you'll be using htem on..but doesn't distill the need in any way! Great niche work..I haven't done one, book too thin, but hey, what's new, missing the hard parts!!
