woyww - not a lot

Not a lot on my desk this wednesday.  A few photos from our holiday in San Francisco that I am planning on scrapping.  The corner of the art journal page which was really just a spray mist and drip effect.

Finally the small canvas for the teenager.  Yep ... approval given for the heart shape.  Then she tells me she would prefer it on paper rather than a canvas.  My reply .... unblogable.

Off to see the wonderful world of woyww.  Hope to visit lots of desks this week.

  4. Aren't teenagers a pain?!!! My eldest had a very regular habit of presenting me with a sketch she's made of a necklace, and then when I say " hmm that's nice love" she proceeds to tell me she'd like it in purple and needs it in an hour!!! Trish #69

  5. You must have the patience of a saint, Sandra, I love your flowery heart on the canvas. Looks like you've got lots of things in the planning stage there, the colours on your sprayed page are lovely.

  6. Hey Fisherman's Wharf! I spent a few days in SF about 10 years ago, loved it. Beautiful canvas, I thought it was a heart stamp at the back of your desk, it's stunning.

  8. Ah teenage offspring is the best preparation an artist can have for learning the trials and heartache of commissioned pieces, the customer wants YOUR art , then promptly tells you how they want you to do it....

  15. I LOVE that canvas! If your teenager doesn't want it.... well....

I love the background page too - beautiful soft effect. I'm thinking of starting an art journal - it will be fun just to try out different backgrounds and embellish them if I feel like it, and keep a note of what I've done. Lovely colours!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. A cardboard box full of cardboard boxes... Well lots of the cardboard boxes in the big cardboard box had other cardboard boxes inside them as well! Definitely time to get ruthless.

I haven't done any more today because we've been out and I'm too tired now, but hoping to keep up the momentum.

    Happy WOYWW,

  25. The heart is amazing! You should sell it as a design to one of the stamp companies! And definitely frame that one!

  26. Love the canvas Sandra. I thought at first glance (when it was part of the whole desk ensemble) that it was a stamp, but the close up left no doubt it was a canvas. Can't wait to see what it will look like when you finish colouring it...I assume you will colour it.

I'm heading your way soon, would love to catch up with you and Roslyn. Watch out for an email in your in box real soon.

  27. Good luck on dealing with a teenager! The heart is beautiful though, I was just popping in to see if there was any progress on your AB...I am so nosey, aren't I? lol waving hi from the windy hills of North Carolina:)

  29. Oh my, that's funny.... unblogable.... I know the feeling though, right around the time I had to throw out one of Lil Miss B's sweaters, and offered to make her another one. She said yes, at first. Luckily, she then said no before I'd made a start. Gotta love them though. And I agree with the others - I'll join the queue for the canvas, and you should see if you could get that image converted to a stamp! Or scan it and turn it into a digistamp...

  30. Where have I been? Blogger hates ME. I'm trying to get to you and had to reboot THREE times after I got here. I love how you answered little Miss B. Too cute.

I read your WOYWW comment and will try to get someone to send you my address, since my e-mail is not working. I have a serious problem with the electronic world at the moment.
