Missed woyww after a busy week with work and family stuff. But, I did get time to finish the hand.
Also started to paint simple things like feathers. Odd numbers always look better.
Finally a big thank you to Diana for the wonderful ATC.
How cool is the matching envelope:)
Have a crafty week.
Wow, the hand is amazing!! I want to learn how to paint feathers, when my dexterity's good enough to wield a fine brush...

Happy WOYWW. I saw a demo of how to simply paint feathers on a Periscope a few weeks ago - must give it a go soon, as I love feathers. Your hand is incredible. Ali x #25
ReplyDeleteI wanted to comment "Wow, that hand is amazing!" but then I saw Claire said just the same thing before me LOL - so I'll say, I'm speechless! Your attention to detail is admirable and that's something I can't even aspire to! I'm a big fan of feathers too, but all I could paint is a "whimsy" feather that's totally not realistic. Lovely ATC from Diana with her signature style! Thanks for visiting earlier! Have a lovely week! zsuzsa #20
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, I think we are all in awe of your painting skills. It's amazing. Lovely ATC too. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #11 XxX
ReplyDeleteWow. Tour any gallery and the gide will tell you that artists always have trouble with hands...proportion especially. Apparently, you're the exception! Fab detail, just, WOW! Having just come back from Arizona and other parts Native American, I'm having a small love affair with feathers and turquoise!
ReplyDeleteThanks for calling by at mine earlier. I think the failed craft fair was more that it was advertised to the school as a fun day not a craft fair so the children and parents came just to have fun not buy craft items....lesson learned as they say.
ReplyDeleteI really love your latest painting of the hand....you are so clever.
Hugs,

ReplyDeleteoh, fantastic drawing again! Helen #1
ReplyDeleteYour painting never ceases to amaze me, so lifelike. Yes I always add a new grip to my badminton racquets when I get them as the original one is too thin. This is the first time the original one has come off when I have redone them. The same didn't happen with my main one, just the extra grip came off. Just never thought the handle would have been made of wood as the rest is metal. Thanks for the visit BJ#19
ReplyDeleteHi. Your 'hand' is brilliant, clever, talented you :-) Thanks for popping by. Anne x#13
ReplyDeleteVery realistic hand job ( oops that sounds dirty...) I loved doing feet when I did life classes I sometimes paint Mr G's feet as he sleeps - no not HIS feet - I paint my interpretation of his feet in my journal - oh pooh I'm really nto doign too well with thsi comment am I? - honestly I am not as weird as I sound, thanks for coming to see me earlier, much love Dxxx
ReplyDeleteMore absolutely fabulous art work, clever you! Have a great woyww and a happy crafty week, Angela x16x

I agree, that is a lovely atc.
ReplyDeleteThe painting of your hand takes me back a while. In class (years ago) I asked the first years (11 year olds) to draw just such a hand for homework and I was amazed at the result from one particular child. I could hardly believe she had done it without any 'touch up' from parents. However, in class, she proved that indeed she had such a talent with a pencil, it was almost eerie to see such work from her. I hope she continues to use it.
Yours is beautiful and painted too - what medium do you use foe your painting?
Hugs, & Thanks for visiting me

The hand is awesome - so realistic! You are really in your element with the watercolours! The feathers are looking great as well, and you are right, everything does look best with odd numbers for some reason! Thanks for sharing (sorry I'm late), Lindart #37
ReplyDeleteWOW...Outstanding art work the attention to detail in the hand is jaw dropping... Love it all.... May#4
