WOYWW - cat sketch

A busy week or 2 and a little sketch to share for WOYWW.
Plan on painting the kitty using the crushed granite watercolour.

Close up of kitty sketch.

Weekend away on the Central Coast was spent relaxing with bush walks, painting
 and eating out.

Plan to visit lots of desks and say hello while I start to paint.

  1. I’m so jealous of the fact you can get out and go to a restaurant...sigh...we’ll get there one day, it just seems to be taking such a long time. You have so caught the character of that cat, it’s brilliant, you can hear the purr!

  2. Hi Sandra I'm looking forward to seeing the kitty as it develops, I know it will be brilliant. Lucky you for being able to get away, no idea when it will happen here. I am trying to do something with the washi tape but I don't know it just doesn't seem to speak to me! I need to try and find out what others have done with it but I'm trying Lol! 6. Fabulous water-colouring! That's such a sensible idea to get the leaves and things right in front of you. Sometimes I miss the obvious. How lovely to be able to travel and take your art with you. As always, stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #8

  7. Your kitty sketch is gorgeous, Sandra. I think you are amazing, making your own paint and the crushed granite is definitely something different!

Thank you for visiting - glad you enjoyed seeing my new juicer which is proving to be absolutely brilliant. At lunch today we had our 2nd and final helping of the celery juice I made yesterday - absolutely delicious!

    Happy WOYWW,

  11. Sandra, love the kitty sketch! It's gorgeous and can't wait to see it painted! Love the journal spread in your last picture as well! I wonder what bush walks must look like? Is it tropical? I don't know much by way of geographics in other countries other than the states, so would be interesting to see!! Hope you enjoyed and especially the "eating out" part! LOLOL Have a great rest of your week! Felicia #31

  15. The kitty sketch looks lovely and I am so looking forward to you painting it with your own ground pigment.
My Little Sister rang me on Wednesday and was telling me how Australia had coped with the pandemic and how she could go to the races the next day. Much like you have gone away for a few days - do hope you enjoy it and find time to do all the lovely things you have planned. Plus, of course, time to paint.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  16. Hi Sandra
Just popping by to say hello, it's been so long. I don't get on WOYWW so much these days but I thought I'd just have a nosey to see how you are doing. How lucky that you are able to get away. We are still not allowed to go anywhere but a local walk. I go out round our local park everyday but long for a change of scene. Still going out to work though and really enjoy the company and change of routine from being at home. Hope all is good with you. Glad you are still painting. I always think of you when I have my first cup of Yorkshire tea in a morning lol. Take care
    Hugs Lisa x
