woyww -bits and pieces

Layout of son's 18th birthday celebration which consisted of:  3 friends, "COD", cake and beer.  Only got the photo because the 3 friends made him stand still for mum to take a photo.  The 18 year old is definitely not into making a fuss and runs in the opposite direction if he sees me with a camera.  He is definitely a child of a scrapbooker!

Lots of blog hopping since last woyww and I even completed a few projects.  It may just be me ... but, I spend too much time looking at wonderful blogs and what others create rather than making my own.  But 2012 will be different.....
Starting with a wonderful tutorial for an ATC accordian book by Artfully Musing.  Yes, colours are similar to the birthday LO and that would be because I was too lazy to put things away so used papers and scraps.

Inside shot of the book.  Quite pleased how it came together and definitely a project that I will try again.

Finally the Acetate ATC.  All in all a productive week and I even managed to get time to keep reading and I do agree the book is always better than the DVD.

Off to visit the wonderful world of desks via Julia ......

  2. I so know what you mean about blog hopping and not creating. Computers are the biggest thief of time! I sometimes don't turn mine on till I have created something...for that reason...great project. Happy WOYWW

  4. I could hardly wait to visit your desk because you are always so good about visiting me. I have really missed you. I had no idea you had an 18 yr old son. I also have one of those cameras that doesn't take clear shots when people are moving around (grin).

    Happy WOYWW (#3).

Love your accordion book - it's beautiful and there's nothing wrong with using colours/papers that are already out for something else!
But my fav, by far, is Organic Bad Girl - it could be my portrait!! *grins*

  6. Great looking LO of your son's 18th! I tend to get stuck on colors and prints of paper and make several things before moving on to the next! Nothing wrong with that in my opinion! Thanks for sharing and have a great week! Vickie #50

  15. My son will only just recently let me photograph him. I just have shots of the top of his head for ages 14 through 17. My daughter on the other hand is in constant pose mode and needs telling to be more 'natural' as I really don't want people to think have a glamour model for a daughter. Although she is gorgeous - of course! TFS Cindy @ #52

  16. I love the layout and the book! I don't have kids yet, but my boyfriend has resigned himself to the constant picture taking. I wonder how my kids will react one day!

  17. No, you got it wrong - you were not too lazy to put things away. You were, quite simply, just making sure you did not waste those lovely papers etc - a very sensible way to craft. It fits perfectly with the UIU challenge. xx Maggie #105

  23. My lot are still at the freeze and pull a cheesy grin phase when they see the camera, I try my best to get 'natural' shots but they spot me every time :P
