woyww -running late


Holidays have come to an end so I only have odds and ends to show on my desk.  Craft time is now very early in the morning or late at night.  Working on another ATC technique.  Using gloss card with a distress background, the alcohol inks are used to change the colour of some german scraps.
A pic of the completed butterfly canvas.  I not only sneaked in green but also a bit of pink.  The teenager was appalled that I added microbeads and at that point I stopped as the huffing and puffing over my shoulder was quite distracting.

Now for something a little different to the butterfly theme.  Another ATC.  I had used glue to give some dimension to the background on the piece of card.  Once the glue was dry I painted the background with black acrylic paint.  The paint separated from the glue and I was left with a speckled background.  Not what I had planned but after adding a stamped image, word and metal embellishment I thought the background was unique.  Apologies for the blurred pic but the ATC has so many raised objects that it was hard to scan.

    Your butterfly canvas would have suited the theme over at Inspiration Avenue last week beautifully... maybe it is time you headed over and had a look at them... great group of people over there... thanks for the rain wishes on my blog.... not too bad where we are down by the bay, very very soggy, but only a few roads cut... good excuse to stay home!!!!     has your teenager got a grudge against microbeads?? Hng on, what AM I saying...teenagers have got a grudge against the world!! Or was that just my two :D

    You were very daring slipping all that colour into your stunning canvas. I can just imagine the protests but in the end Mum knows best!!! It's absolutely gorgeous.

    What do teenagers know?? ignore all huffing and puffing says I. In fact huff and puff back and advise they 'get a life' LOL Liking the canvas with the green too. Green and blue should always be seen together in my book! Perfect partners.

    Well the ATC turned out spectacularly well... And I LO e that you added th e word 'sensation' , goes with the texture! Made me laugh about the teenager and the microbe ads we sure have to suff for our art!!!
