woyww - decorated tin

A photo taken of another decorated "Body Shop" tin.  I decorated the lid instead of gift wrapping and just wanted to keep it simple.  The gift of soaps and creams are inside but I still wanted to make a bit of an effort.
I have also been working on a couple of ATC's made using the my new ledger stencil and bits and pieces I keep in the little box on my desk shelf.  You know the box where you keep stuff that might be useful.  Well now I am trying to make something rather than keeping random stuff because it grows at an alarming ragte.  I think the image of the woman might make a good ATC in the future but have not thought past glueing her to a piece of cardstock.   So there you have my wednesday desk not great works of art but definitely signs that I have been playing with glue.

  2. Hi Sandra,
The tin looks great! And I think that image of the lady will certainly be good for an ATC, at the very least.
The proper sponge things came with the pan pastel kit, but I tried one of the el cheapo makeup sponges (a round one like you would use for powder) but it was slightly ripped apart on the texture paste which had dried with sharp edges. I think they would be OK just on smooth surfaces though. I was sceptical that just 7 colours would work out ok but I am quite pleased with all of them. More experimenting required.

  3. Oh yes, the tin has turned out lovely and your ATC's are looking good too!
This is a good tutorial for the exploding box, if you want to give one a go. http://www.acherryontop.com/articles/Exploding-Box-Tutorial-3828... just so you don't end up on some weird website!! LOL Annette #7

  5. Every creation is a great work of art Sandra and you’ve done a great job with the tin. To think that not so long ago it would have gone in the bin once the contents was used up but now it will have a new lease of life.

Loving the ATC’s too, and especially the striking Blue Butterfly on the centre one.

    Happy Crafting!

  6. Hi Sandra,
Your tin is so charming, glad you chose to keep it on the simple side. Yes, those "random" things grow and multiply at an alarming rate for sure.
Love your ATCs and that woman is screaming to get glued down! LOL
    Thanks for the earlier visit

  12. That butterfly I can see on the ATC in the middle is so pretty. I like your lady on the left too. I bought some vintage knitting patterns in Oxfam once and I've not had a great deal of opportunity to use the images on them, although I love them. It never seems possible to use half the stuff I accumulate! Well done you for making an effort to use it. Julie Ann xx #55

  16. Your tin is really beautiful, Sandra, what a gorgeous gift. Now the recipient can use what's in side and still have the tin to keep things in!! Love it.
    Your atc's are beautiful too.
Hope all is good with you.
    Have a great weekend.

  17. I love what you have done with that tin, it changes the present into something very special. I admire you managing to make things out of those bits in front of you, rather than just keeping them. Thank you for your visit and your encouraging words. Have a good week. xx Maggie #10
