Loving the new Lavender watercolour from Daniel Smith. Might have to try out the new Wisteria as well. hydrangea phase of painting is a nice break from birds.

Painting roses for a change
Painting roses in full bloom - wet on dry technique. Allows for lots of control and you can add layer upon layer of glazes once the first layer is dry.
Rose buds - wet on wet technique. A softer overall result but far less control.

Tulips
Time seems to disappear when I am painting.
Australia's never ending summer had me in the mood for tulips.
Inspired by Mr Marshal's flower book.

woyww - slow progress
The only thing different from last week is the sketch of a moth. At this rate it would be quicker to watch a moth emerge from its cocoon.
Hope your week has been more productive.

woyww - next painting
My desk on a Wednesday night looks dark and dingy. The Attacus Atlas moth is sitting on my easel as I try to decide whether to paint the moth or do February's tutorial (a coconut) with Anna Mason. The only similarity between the two subjects is the colour. I just cannot get inspired by a coconut so I might paint the moth. All too hard so I am going to leave the moth on the desk until I make a decision.
Last weeks wreath with a few additions just before it gets popped in the mail.
Have a lovely woyww peek and I promise to visit slowly over the next few days.

woyww - card making on a desk
Not often that I post a pic of my latest card making marathon. In this case whipping up a few bird cards from last weeks Kingfisher.
Painting something a little different this week. My daughter has requested a floral wreath for a colleague. Luckily I remembered to cover her name before I took a photo otherwise the surprise would be a bit flat. Looking to add a few more flowers or leaves before I hand it over and will probably remove the pencil sketch of the bottle behind the bow. But, I will wait for her highness to give me more instructions.
Have a lovely woyww peek and I will visit lots of desks over the weekend.

woyww - summery things
A touch of summer to brighten your woyww.
A pretty Kingfisher painted during Anna Mason's online workshop and finished last night.
The completed sunflower from weeks ago.
After a few beautiful days on the beach my desk should be back to normal by the weekend.
Have a lovely woyww visit.

woyww - sunflower glow
Working on a sunflower. Once I finish the centre I will then balance out all the colours on the petals and leaves. The petals took ages and I plan to finish it this afternoon. Otherwise the painting just goes on and on. The kingfisher is on hold and hopefully will see some paint this weekend.
Have a lovely woyww peek at everyone's desk.

woyww - happy 2018 ready to paint but tidied the storeroom instead
This month's tutorial from Anna Mason's online workshop is a beautiful kingfisher and I could hardly wait to get started. But, I got side tracked and tidied up the pantry/store room and two days later the bird is still waiting. I do have a very tidy store room which makes me feel I have started 2018 by recycling/throwing out the previous years stuff.
The finished fungi composition.
Just wondering if any woyww's have sold craft/art on Etsy and would love to know your thoughts or recommendations for the site.
Happy woyww and I promise to slowly visit over the next few days.
