Working on a sunflower. Once I finish the centre I will then balance out all the colours on the petals and leaves. The petals took ages and I plan to finish it this afternoon. Otherwise the painting just goes on and on. The kingfisher is on hold and hopefully will see some paint this weekend.
Have a lovely woyww peek at everyone's desk.
You must have so much patience. The fine details you put into your paintings are really amazing. This one is stunning....and will be more so when you’ve finished the details in the middle.

Well, that's a pop of lovely bright colour to cheer up a grey day! I so love sunflowers and you've got it just right, the furry stem and leaves come across well too - gorgeous. Saw the kingfisher in our harbour again the other day and thought of you!

Happy New Year, Sandra. I hope you had a lovely festive period and 2018 brings you all the things you wish for. I hear it's warm in Sydney at the minute if what we heard on the cricket is true. We are heading the right way now. Thanks for your lovely comments earlier. Looking forward to more chat across the airwaves with you this year.

The sunflower already looks gorgeous. I must admit I was ready to scroll down and see if you had finished the kingfisher before I saw that you'd put it on hold. Look forward to seeing both finished pieces. have a great week. Sarah #12
ReplyDeleteAlthough you say it is not finished I had an urge to touch the petals between my finger and thumb - so realistic already. Look forward to seeing the kingfisher.
ReplyDeleteNearly missed you this week, thought I had already been when I saw you comment on mine - oops, I was mistaken.

Oh my favourite colour for flowers I can smell spring just round the corner. Thanks for the visit BJ#10
ReplyDeleteSorry I’m late. Glow is just the right word too, I’m not surprised those petals took a long time...they are so individually lifelike. Love tha you can move between painty projects too, that’s a skill for sure.
