woyww - let go of plans

Last weeks plan came to nothing as the exhibition is cancelled until further notice.
Not a problem, all I did was rummage through old paintings and started to add touch ups.

So today you have a photo of my desk.  The painting is somewhere between "should I keep working?" or "should of stopped 2 hours ago."

So I went for a walk ......... a good choice hardly anyone else around.

Stay safe dear woyww's and let's give thanks for health workers.

  1. If I had the surroundings to take walks like you do Sandra then I would be out there too. Fresh air is good for you and you can keep away from others if you need to. Love the painting on your desk. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2

  3. Yes, let's give thanks for the health workers and also those behind the scenes who are having to go to work to keep the cogs of life ticking as much as they can. Thinking cleaners, warehousemen, drivers etc as well as those at the front line.
Sorry about the exhibition, by the time it is on you will have so much to choose from you will be stuck as to what to take. Keep those beaches walked, it looks gorgeous, wish I lived there.
Take care, Hugs, Neet 1 xx

  5. Happy WOYWW. That beach (and the blue sky) looks amazing. We could all do with some sunshine. Life for many people just continues as normal, except perhaps for some extra hand washing. As farmers, we know that more than many. Ali x #9

  6. I do love those touch ups, beautiful and calming just what we all need to see right now. How refreshing that walk must have been. I'll give three cheers for the health workers too they must be rewarded after these awful times come to an end.
Sending creative hugs & light your way this WoywW Tracey #10

  7. Morning Sandra. I think our church will try for something on line too, as there are some highly intelligent IT people in the congregation - but we also have a good number of elderly who have no way of listening or watching - plus a large number of very vulnerable special needs folks who simply love the way we worship - joining in however they are able. I'm sure our leadership will come up with something.
Sorry to hear about the cancellation of the exhibition - but as you have already formed a new plan... well, your contribution will be even better when you get to put it on! A fabulous picture of your beach - just look at that clear sand!!
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

  8. Hi Sandra
Such a shame about your exhibition but hopefully it will happen when things get back to normal.
Love your painting, the colours are beautiful. I would happily have that on my wall.
That empty beach looks stunning. I wouldn't mind taking a stroll on it with you....at a safe distance of course.
    Look after yourself

  9. Pity about the exhibition but, as you say, there'll be another time. I think your painting is gorgeous and doesn't need anything doing to it - I'd give it house room, lol!

  15. Your painting is beautiful and looks like you stopped at the perfect moment (something I struggle to do with almost everything I create!). I'm sorry your exhibition has been cancelled but I'm sure it will be rescheduled when we are all back to normal. Stay safe,

  16. Oh dear.. these are strange times and all we can do is sit, craft and wait... we're not homebound completely in Holland (we are still alowed to go outside, and the seaside seems like a wonderful idea!) but social isolation, yes. And the place I work closed its doors (as do the schools, pubs, restaurants and most shops) and since I cannot do my work at home, I am unemployed now. It feels strange to have no job all of a sudden... I'm glad I have my online friends! Take care, stay healthy! Big virtual hug from the Netherlands! Marit #21

  18. All is well in my world at this time however I've isolated myself for a bit now. I always do anyway during cold and flu season so this isn't much different. I have a sister working in a nursing home and they have closed it except for if you have a family member actively dying. So far so good with her as well.

  20. Thank you for the gorgeous beach photo - a bit of blue space therapy is what we need right now as we all let go of plans for the time being. Glad you have such a beautiful spot nearby!

  21. Your painting is so lovely. The colors are amazing. Such a gift. I wish I could paint something freehand. Oh that beach picture looks marvelous. I am hunkering down at home with my husband and boys. Working from home and schools are closed. It's a strange time indeed.
    Stay well.

  23. Oh my word Sandra, how do you ever know when to stop? I’m sorry the exhibition is postponed for now, it was an exciting thing to look forward to...still, postponed is better than cancelled, for sure. It’s time your art was on many many gallery walls. I would walk so much more often if I had that as a location to walk in, enjoy the peacefulness!

  27. Hello Sandra, sorry I am so late this week - life's got in the way. Sigh. Your painting is beautiful. Did you keep on painting or did you stop - it does look lovely as it is. And your beach - I'd love to stroll along it with you - with 6ft between us, of course. Have a good week despite everything. Elizabeth x #31
