woyww - nature journaling and distractions

The intention was to join in on a week of nature journaling starting on the 1st of June.
Completed a dandelion as I cannot get enough of these little fuzz balls and they are all over the garden.

Then I was distracted by making a small journal (or 2) for my w/c painting.  In the blink of an eye it's the 3rd of June and Wednesday's are for WOYWW and I completely forgot all
about nature journaling.

With restrictions easing daily I plan to venture out tomorrow and play catch up with
the nature journaling.

Have a safe and creative week.

  2. I’ve tried joining courses but I can’t seem to stick to them apart from putting in an app here every week. So I’m doing my own thing Sandra.
I love your nature journal. Look forward to seeing it develop. Stay safe.

  3. Love pictures of those little puff balls myself, they are pretty to look at in the garden too but I have to destroy them before they get chance to spread the seeds. I know I should dig them up but being honest I cannot get down to them these days. Old age!
Enjoy your walks and journalling - and don't forget to show us the results please.
    Hugs, Neet 9 xx

  4. Beautiful watercolour! Having had a little play this week, I bow to your superior technique, I don't know how you have the patience to master such a hard medium. I don't think I'm a natural watercolourist at all!! Hope you enjoy the freedom after lockdown!

  5. Morning Sandra. I love your style... started on one thing, then got distracted and moved to another! Great stuff!!! Just the sort of thing I do, too. I love your little dandelion heads - if it is any consolation at all... they are all over my garden too.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

  6. I find it is very easy to be distracted these days. Hard to focus on one thing because days are running too fast, in my opinion. I love the fluffy balls myself and it is going to be a new project for me. When? I am not sure, depends on the distraction. ;)

Thank you so much for sharing!

    Happy WOYWW

  15. Hi you're right about the dandelions they get everywhere but you have made good use of them for the lovely art work. I don't know where the time is going either but I thought it was just me but obviously not. Wishing you a happy woyww and a great crafty week, Angela x15x

  16. Oh I don’t know Sandy, I reckon you could spend loads more time on the dandelion clocks, and that would be a distraction enough for the rest of us! Those little Epc journals are gorgeous, it is a matter of lovely amusement to read that you flittered about and forgot the nature thing for a minute, how lovely to be so taken up with what you’re working on!

  17. I love your little dandelion painting, Sandra - you've really captured the character of this much-maligned plant! Your little painting album is gorgeous, too. You are soooo talented! Thank you for your lovely comment. Glad you like my knitting projects, both of which are coming on well and I have every hopes of rescuing the black one and making it presentable. The fact that I have so many different projects going is why I have so many UFOs, too!

    Happy WOYWW,

  18. I love that water colour painting, it’s a difficult material to paint with - I have been practicing myself from time to time but I prefer acrylics… you did a great job! Thanks for your visit to my blog yesterday, happy – belated – woyww and a hug from Holland. Marit #20
