A display of leaves, Banksia flower head and seed pod from my morning walk.
On the desk a photo of the completed eucalyptus leaves taken in the fading light.
Final photo is an amazingly bright yellow fungi that has come up through the bark chips. It screams look but don't touch.
Hope your Wednesday has been creative as we stay home and stay safe.
Love the finished drawings - and I do hope you'll paint the yellow funghi!! stay safe, take care. Helen #1
ReplyDeleteCool photos today Sandra. I like what you collected on your walk! Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #11
ReplyDeleteLovely collection - great for drawing skills and maybe paint? Not sure what I think of the yellow "thing" it looks a bit too yellow for my liking. Hope it is alright and doesn't grow or multiply.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet 3 xx
I love the variety and intricacy of nature, those pods and flower heads are amazing, and I am sure the yellow fungus is as beautiful in it's way.

Wow, that fungus is truly amazing and you're right, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole! I remember Banksias from my visit to Oz many years ago, it's amazing to see how your flora is so different.
ReplyDeleteHope you're keeping safe and well,

Morning Sandra. That fungus is amazing - wonder what it is called? Lovely looking seed head and leaves - and a beautiful photo of your finished painting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting. What are the medieval books called? You say you are amazed at all I achieve in a week... ah... Well, I live on my own since my hubby died, therefore don't make a great deal of mess to clean up, have nothing else going on in my life at the moment, only have to shop about every three weeks... so all day to craft, play, a bit of gardening...Think I must be getting very selfish in my old age!!
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, for some reason my iPad doesn't like your blog! I left a comment first thing this morning but it disappeared... So here goes again! I love that ainting of the eucalyptus and your little still life of natural things from your gleanings out of doors is beautiful - just asking to be painted, as is that extraordinary yellow fungus. Thank you for your visit and your kind words! I never feel that productive because half the time I don't get going until about lunch time! I do hope you get going on sprouting seeds again. We sampled the first lot for lunch today and they were delicious!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW,

Oh yeah, if that isn’t a warning colour for a fungi I don’t know what is! Fascinating though isn’t it! Love your collection of leaves and pods, I’ve got a bowl turned from banksia seed heads all glued together, something Mr Dunnit made when we stayed with friends in WA about a million years ago. Feel like I could reach out and pick that eucalyptus stem off the page!
ReplyDeleteNature shows her most beautiful colours at the moment, love the seeds/leaves you picked and I love that you left the fungi alone. Thanks for your visit to my blog yesterday, have a nice week and stay safe! Hug from Holland, Marit #20
